A Mommies Network Chapter Founder will touch the lives of thousands of mothers in the community. You will be the key to linking moms together to form friendships and to find support as they travel (and sometimes stumble) down the road of motherhood. It is a commitment, but the benefits far outweigh the efforts needed.
Not only will you be helping moms connect with each other -- you will also be instrumental in involving these mothers in their community and making a difference in the world around them. There are so many great things that we can accomplish if we work together and set our minds on a common goal.
Former professional moms looking to put their business skills to work, as well as moms who enjoy meeting new people and connecting others are ideally suited for this role. Strong communication skills are essential.
We Will Support You
Make no mistake, the Chapter Founder role will not be the easiest job you've had, but The Mommies Network will be with you all the way, working with you to establish your group and providing assistance, both financial and educational, to help your chapter succeed.
From the opening stages as an area group on our National Chapter, to building and developing your own stand-alone chapter, we will be with you every step of the way, ensuring you have the best technical and administrative support possible. As a Chapter Founder, you will have access to our Staff Support forums and Corporate Wiki, two essential tools for finding the information and resources you need to be a success. Formal training is provided and our network of other chapter founders, chapter managers and other chapter volunteers, as well as the excellent TMN volunteers, are all here to support you and assist you.
We Will Provide an Easy-To-Use Website
Unlike other mom sites, TMN chapters are designed for discussion. Instead of receiving an email, members visit a site with multiple forums, each geared towards a specific area of interest to moms. All posts are threaded and each community member has a user id with profile including Avatar photo, location and signature. Each community also has a Gallery for sharing individual and group event photos and a Calendar for posting group events.
HTML and programming experience are not necessary to be a Chapter Founder, but you must be computer and internet savvy.
